Forest People

This poem, Forest People, was created by our resident freelance scientist at a forest service orientation presentation. Public land managers now have to compete for maintenance funds - community partnerships should result, once people develop a language with which to communicate, rather than talking past each other. running around - enjoy
fungus among us
lichen mines the air
soil focus - in fire
plantations gone
subsoil restoration
compaction gone
trees benefit, grow carbon
find new stuff daily
plan work, work plan
oak flats unique
fir choke, fire loss
public plan 2 harvest burn
kayvee return 4 maintenance
better life, better forest
be out in the woods
as much as possible
on the ground
