How

ReadThe Redile program (Research Directed Learning Environments) is set up to cover the expense of providing mentors to youth that have interest in the outdoors. One goal of ONRRI is having public understanding that science is a thought process and not a substance; that it opens up questions and doesn’t answer them. The Oregon Natural Resources Research Institute is committed to developing pathways towards careers in natural resources by teaching small science, not big science. Youth that demonstrate interest will find a world beyond the school day that is both challenging and rewarding.
ThisThe key to non-stagnant futures for rural impoverished communities is for the local population to direct incoming resources to the areas where they can be best applied to grow the resource base. Creating a 26-39 year old demographic - a situation where youth can marry and raise a family while living and working in Douglas County is necessary. This is the demographic that physically can handle a real work load. Progress sometimes bursts in kicking and screaming, at other times sneaks in slowly and stealthful. But progress always comes.
