Resistance is Futile

ReadLemme's alter ego has a quandry about whether to visit Galt's gulch for an extended stay or to dive back into the rat race and sell science service for real money. The question is really - how long will the system hold, now that the paradigm shift has occurred? What is the length of time that we must tread water until the pool drains, now that the plug has been pulled? Or will the make-believe fiction that dominates life perservere into a totalitarian regime? Which way next - chaos or order or order? A falsely imposed order or a real order that descends out of chaos as the maelstrom quiets.
ThisThe mainstream borg is paring off outlyers on the edge of the bell curve, then narrowing the channel for the next round of paring. As more people resist, the inevitable change will come faster. But there is a comfort level that has developed; frogs cannot tell that the water is warmer. Using logic to precede action currently makes no sense, since common sense is defined by intent rather than by the letter of the law. Thus the title of this piece and the quandry - how best to achieve internal peace - leave the game or play by the current unethical rulebook?
