Clouds at Sunrise

Sunrise on super-bowl sunday, the drums beat loudly as most lemmings get glued to the mind control boxes. As a die-hard sports-fan, today i don't attempt to flog myself for becoming part of the spectacle. i take it for what it is worth - a distraction for several hours while normality suspends to accomodate belief. Enjoying the journey is part of the pleasure of existance, but burning man might be more of my type of thrill. Could we imagine a media that could cover these two parallel events with equal indulgence? Nah.

Dr. Lenny Super Swami Prediction:

Colts get 4 touchdowns and a field goal while the Bears keep Gould busy with 5 field goals and a TD from Hester on a return. A jam packed 31-22, with a late turn-over making the score look like less of the battle it will be.

Your prediction was waaay too close. What kind of doctor did you say you were? I'm wondering how many non-fans-but-big-event-watchers out there with TiVo fast forwarded through the game in order to see all the commercials. Probably the only game all year in any sport where that's possible.

The obseesion many have over the commercials has become far more interesting to me than the game itself. Even a number of supposedly "anti-commercial" types have an opinion on which commercials were hits and which were bombs.
