Basis Set

Science is an endeavor that stacks the deck by isolating variables and then implying cause and effect. It requires complete honesty in approach - else you run the risks of getting the result you expect by force. Most scientists have troubles modifying their view to fit the results and instead change the results to fit the view. I would like to see the Venus Project working - Fresco was already on my radar screen. Thanks to Aeon for the video link.

As far as our communities are concerned, science can be used to predict outcomes based on the work being done. The key is to have a clean data stream that provides unfiltered information that allows us to figure out a process or a mechanism. Once we know how something works, we can imply why it works and use it to improve our value status. Community is about sharing what we value, in common, as we value things differently when for us alone.
