Being in the gulf while sitting here

sometimes we find ourselves completely howdtside normal patterns - life dislocates into smaller time independent regions and we go off on a little side trip of our own. things in the world change, but something brings an inconsistency that just tells me that the time continuum is currently disrupted and things are not appearing as they seem. it is as though i am in two places at once - in physical mind presence here and now, but not all here - taking in an unconscious adventure.

so say that i'm here and you see me here. both you and i can place me here at this point in time, so i must be here. but my personal engagement is remote - almost out of body and i am taking in events that are howdtside my physical range. Roger knows how this works.

now i know that i am supposed to cleanse the waters and now we have this massive oil slick in the gulf of mexico. i am there - this is how to fix the problem. first - cap the leak. this may not happen soon as the oil derrick is apparently on top of the hole. the composition of crude oil is a mixed bag of hydrocarbons - the dispersing agents will break up clumps into smaller particles, but those still need to be removed. both algae and mushroom have the capability of transforming small organic molecules to bio-mass. we should be able to genetically engineer a hybrid species that will eat the oil and render it into algae poop. (Fungi and algae already combine in nature to form lichen!!!)

decide if the current life is salvageable or not. if not - use lye and hydrolyze, then saponify. if otherwise, take firm control to keep pH in the 7.2 +/- 0.4 region. there are several bacteria and other microbe strains that may work in moderate pH, but looking at these vectors will take time and effort.

so if somebody (BP, fedgov) wants to really solve this problem, perhaps getting some R&D money into the hands of those of us that comprehend biochemistry might be in order. Big toys are necessary for the analytical work - partners are welcome.
