Spent a wonderful weekend in the Umpqua Valley, drinking wine and sharing friendships. If you ever have the chance to visit the Wild Rose Vineyard in Dillard Oregon, take the opportunity for a real treat. The Pinot Gris Port is spectacular. We had a Creative Catering Services mother day's breakfast of shrimp, foie gras, grits and sausage, with cranberry scones, fruit salad and coffee. The key feature of the fruit salad was a stick of chocolate covered bacon. Don't knock it until you've tried it - yum.
