EH3 - Leadership

'Not one Governor chose to leave his or her federal Title I (NCLB) money behind.'

Why are we not surprised that politicians refuse to leave the federal gravy train. Erica Carle doesn't write often, but she packs a punch. In this article, she doesn't go far enough - the states should also dismantle their departments of education and leave the decision making to school boards at the local level. That's what we elect those folks to do - make decisions about our schools - not to feed like pigs at a trough.
