Fun with Numbers: 25,920

Doc has been doing a lot of applied practical mathematics these days.  As an editor, he assembled the Marshall papers, which demonstrates a simple different approach to number systems and semantics.  Then, he worked out the group theory of ORMUS and developed a chemical explanation for the amazing properties of this mineral substance.  Doc is currently editing a geometric treatise on the Sri Yantra.  And finally, he has been observing two different calendars - the Mayan Tzolkin and the Treei 64 day tree day.  Turns out that the Mayan long cycle count that ended last December 21st was on a 25,920 year cycle (the day hit 5 cycles on 13 calendars).

Today's post is to look at the numbers that generate the prime factors of 25,920.  Impetus for this was reading David Wilcox' book The Synchronicity Key.  Book is highly recommended for its predictions - which may turn out to be true to form, when we weigh his evidence.  Without further ado ...

25,920 = 2 x 12,960 = 2 x 2 x 6,480 = 2 x 2 x 3,240 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 1,620 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 810 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 405 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 x 81 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 x 3 x 27 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 x 3 x 3 x 9 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3

That is five twos, four threes and a five.  Thus lots of interesting numbers are factors.  Here is another weigh of looking at the same lines of equivalence.

25, 920 = 2 x 12, 960 = 3 x 8,640 = 4 x 6,480 = 5 x 5,184 = 6 x 4,320 = 8 x 3,240 = 10 x 2,592 = 12 x 2160 = 15 x 1728 = 16 x 1,620 = 20 x 1296 = 32 x 810 = 36 x 720 = 48 x 540 = 60 x 432 = 64 x 405 = 72 x 360 ...

The significance of all this is inexplicable - some things you just have to think through on your own.  Wilcox's book sorts things out with a pseudo-shamanic formula where time repeats itself.  Well Thyme repeats himself - and will intersperse more water within the other posts.
